Self reflection
Self-Reflection leads to...
Do you reflect? How do you reflect? Why should you reflect?
I spend a great deal of time reflecting on my coaching because of the environment I find myself in, by chance mostly as well as on purpose.
It is essential and magnifying.
For those who don't make time to reflect on their lives, work or sport, perhaps think about what it could do for you?
Self-reflection is part of a prologue to a deeper understanding of self-awareness. What do you think or feel before, during or after a moment? Are you listening to your brain and body? Do you want to think and feel like you do? How do you want to think or feel?
How could it develop your leadership?
My thoughts link to the sporting arena - You practice your skills and are expected to deliver them in situations which require high focus in high pressure moments with many distractions. Knowing yourself better through things like journalling and self reflection will build an understanding yourself, your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in critical moments.
Can you then learn to be more conscious and welcoming of unwanted noise, recognising that it doesn't need to be ignored but dealt with?
